It was only 12 minutes from my home! plus in a small town where I was raised!

I arrived early and there was two nice ladies checking in at the desk(library). I Knew the face of one of the ladies. she worked at 1 of the local WalMarts, in the fabric department no less. I asked if they was there for the Quilt meeting, yes they were. I told them that was why i was there.

They welcomed me and introduced themselves. I offered to help set up the chairs. And as the group came in most introduced themselves to me. A few even had name tags on which they had made.

Some were not so openly friendly to me but there was a speaker )sorry dont remember her name) But I did get to sit beside a very nice and friendly lady which was voted the new president this night also.

They let me join a month early (new year starts next month)!

I even received a call from her tonight and we talked half hour or so.

being new to sewing machines and quilting, I so hope to learn alot!
