I FINALLY have a Kindle!!! DH bought me one for my birthday - bless his heart!!!! I've search for this answer and can't find it. Seems to me someone mentioned they download quilt patterns to Kindle and then take it with them to the LQS...they have the picture and the amount of fabric needed..... am I remembering right??? If so, how?????????

I have an ipod touch and I know you can download free quilting apps on it - could this be what someone was talking about?

Never heard of that..I do have a few quilt books but with no color they just aren't any fun on the Kindle.

Kindle is a brand of e-reader sold through Amazon.

I have one or two quilt books on my Kindle. I can see the color pictures on my laptop with Kindle for PC. Generally, I prefer the regular version of the book over the Kindle book when it comes to quilt books. I never thought of using it to take with me to the LQS.

Don't hold me to this because it's been awhile since I've done it .... My Nook eReader came with an USB cord that allows me to connect the Nook to my computer. Connect your Kindle, go to "My Computer," and the eReader should show up as another device, like your CD drive. You should be able to open your eReader (right click on it) and drag & drop files (such as .jpg pictures of quilt patterns) from your PC to your Kindle. Hope I got this right. Worth a try.
