My fabric
http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/gms/2222737991.html Saw these on Craig's List - they are metal - Approx 6' X 3' X 18" deep - they are from a hospital - have not seen them. Was told they weigh approx 200 lbs - the man wants $50 each - the cubbies are approx 6" wide Do you time these would work? Decided to ask you what you thought before I showed them to DH - who at the moment is playing golf. |

Personally I would prefer something that was not a heavy metal, 200lbs each! Also you may want to check bookcases at ikea on-line at least to get pricing, I'm not sure if that's a deal or not, if you want metal and have someone to move them for you then it would work. I can't get past the 200 lbs each thing! I will be watching to see what others think. Good luck deciding.

Wow, those are heavy!

The compartments look a little narrower than what I'd like for storage and I'd be very wary of metal also. Good luck finding the right storage.
|
is there sharp edges?
|
I'd be leery at 200lbs each once put they would stay put. And of course the rust problem with our humidity. good luck.

Best thing I've found is the Sterlite 4 drawer cabinets sold at Walmart or Target here. All plastic nice deep drawers, can stack them. Two or four put together with a covered piece of fiber board makes a great storage and ironing or cutting table. Run $50 to 55 each. Check it out. BJ

I think you are right about metal - especially in Florida - Humidity and metal don't mix.
I really haven't seen them, I saw the ad on Craigslist and called to get some info. Thought I would ask my friendly experts what you thought before I showed them to DH. |
