Ok, I don't do alterations because I'm really not that good at it, but a couple of co-workers paid outrageous money for these t-shirts from Disneyland, which were made in Romania, and they were too small in the tummy area. They asked if I could make them bigger. I was intrigued so decided to tackle the project myself. I put gussets in the sides and embroidered designs on the gussets to dress them up a bit. Everything that could possibly go wrong, went wrong, but the end result was good and they were thrilled. Whew!

Wow! Nice save!!! Really cute!

I think that you did an amazing job!!

How clever you are! A big improvement to the original shirt:) Thanks for the idea:)

I can see why they were thrilled - you did a fantastic job!!

Very creative solution to their problem T-shirts. What a nice co-worker you are. You've dressed the T's up so now they may be worth the outrageous price that was paid for them. Hopefully your co-workers purchased you a Starbucks coffee or something for your imaginative/solution driven work.

I may use that idea on a couple of T-shirts that hang new in my closet. They were decorated and gifts from M &D, but I couldn't get them past my waist.

How pretty! Great idea!

That turned out great. I used to alter wedding gowns and had to add gussets to some of them. You did a great job.

Nice Job!...
Had a job 27 years ago making blouses for AMA group for a national convention and the pattern was too small in the abdomen area... I ended up drafting a pattern for each of the women in the group. After the convention, they told me that their blouses were the best made and fit perfectly... other group's blouses didn't fit properly and it showed... |
