I was wondering how durable and washable photos on fabric are, I would like to incorporate a picture of Mom and Dad etc. on one of the I Spy squares and as often as a baby quilt is washed, wondered if they would hold up? anyone wash quilts with squares like that? or do you just use them in wall hangings?

I use the fabric that you can run through your printer in many of my quilts. I did an "I Spy" quilt using family members for several baby quilts. They wash beautifully if you follow the directions when you are printing them. You must set in the ink by pressing it and rinse it, then iron it. Also, be sure you get the washable ones. There are some out there that are not washable.

I very seldom make recommendations for pictures or photos on fabric since I usually go to fabricondemand.com to have mine made up by them. I have never been disappointed and have had problems with all those do it yourself photos. Tried them all. If I have more than two pictures, I put them next to each other, scan them on my printer and then submit them to the company. I have been able to get eight pictures on my 8X11 scanner screen. It costs $10 plus $2 shipping. Here is the quilt I made for my husband.

i read on another post that someone uses watered-down fabric glue over the picture to seal in the colors.

I'm very intrigued by sending the photo's out for processing on fabric. I have done a number of quilts with pictures and I am not totally happy with how the colors print out.

If you do try it your self, do pay attention to what the package says about if it's washable, etc.
