just sewing along happily making my son his little superhero lap quilt (that he literally cried for tonight before bed!) so I was determined to finish it and look what happened!! does anyone know how I would begin to fix this? or do I gotta call in professional help?

Oh, looks painful to your little machine!!

See if there is a small screw missing - it is hard to see from the pic! Hope you can repair it quickly!

Is that a Brother SE400? I have the same machine but I can't tell what's broken in your picture...

Susie Quilter 08-11-2011 05:48 PM

Oh no.....hope you get it up and running soon.

it's a Brother XR-52....my husband is currently trying to put it back together for me. the piece that holds the needle fell. I think he might have got it. but now it's too late for me to attempt quilting again. oh well. there's always tomorrow. I just hope it gets fixed and that my son doesn't cry for it again tomorrow. :(

Oh no it's needs a cast to hold it's needle on! Lol. Hope u got it fixed!

DUCT TAPE..hehhe..seriously though...I think you lost a screw...should be an easy fix!

The worst part is holding the curve piece in place as you put it back together. I have knocked it loose before while cleaning my machine I unscrewed the wrong thing. Nothing to panic over.
