I may soon be a long arm owner, uh, short arm owner??? It says short arm, but it looks like in the pic that it would be mid arm. What do you think? I spoke to a wonderful lady through some emails, and she still has it and is willing to let me make payments. (it's so sad to be so broke) But I'm glad my angels are watching out for me and helped me find this listing and it's wonderful owner. I know it's kinda rough, no bells and whistles, no stitch regulator, but hey, it's a start. I think it will really help in my quilt making. Tell me what you think about my find.... It looks like maybe a 9" - 11" incher to me. Test it before you take it home. And make sure you get the manual!!!!

I know nothing about LA or Mid but I'm sooooo jealous. I would love a set up like this but NO room anywhere. Keep us posted on your new adventure:)

Just a note... i once owned this same machine. It was the worst purchase I had ever made. I bought it brand new and the machine never ever sewed correctly. The tension was always off. I sent it in to have it worked on and UPS dropped it and broke it.. I got a brand new machine. It still did not run correctly. make sure you test run it before you take it home. If I may ask how much is it anyways?

I am extremely blessed, we found an old Victorian when we moved back to TN, and we have lots of room. It's still gonna be in the living room for the moment.... lol

It's $1100 for the machine and table. But, she will let me make $50 monthly payments which I wouldn't be able to do anywhere else... Oh, and I'm rather handy with machinery - I've reset the timing on my Brother when I happen to throw it out, and hope to take a repair course when I can

I dont know what kind of machine that is?? Says Kenquilt "like". the machine looks a little rough, but could just be the photo. I would definitely ask more questions first. How old is the machine, is it finickey on thread types...also you'll want to try it for sure. $1100.00 sounds high to me. Just do your homework first. I hope it works out for you.

It's a Tacsew, which I've seen before, but have no experience with. I assume it's pretty old, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This is for both the machine AND table, which is big enough for a king size quilt. She says she spoke with a Kenquilt rep at a quilt show and they would be able to service the machine if needed. So that's why it's mentioned to be "like" a Kenquilt machine. I feel it's not a bad price for both... but I don't know. It's worth it to me, but that doesn't have to mean it's a "good" price.

It's a short arm, she's not misleading you. Sounds a bit high to me too, honestly, but if she's allowing you to make payments, it's more reasonable if you consider what the interest rate on a credit card would be.
