Probably not an original title at all but...

My name is Lorraine, I have been quilting off and on since the 70's and after struggling through my last machine quilting experience realized that my love is for machine piecing, but hand quilting.

My early hand quilting was all stab and stitch. Verrrrrrrrrrrrry slow and only looked good on the top. During my last attempt about 5 years ago I started to get the hang of the running stitch. Now I want to make a Welsh inspired strippy or whole cloth.

So in between machine knitting, clothing construction and working full time, I am making time to take up quilting again. I love quilts (the only thing I have on my bed are made by me) and have - oh - about seven lifetimes worth of crafty things I want to do. :lol:

I have already found some great information here and look forward to working my way through the boards. I can't say I will be able to offer anything more useful than encouragement.
