A lady I cleaned house for gave me her quilting items and UFO's before she died, Id love to see this finished someday soon. Can someone here date this for me? Can you tell from the Jade green how old it is? or the plate's patterns?

No idea how old it is but it sure is beautiful. Amazing variety of fabric in the dresden plates.

Im thinking 60's but could be off, and it matters to me to know when she made it.
Her grandaughter might like to have it if I can get it finished.

The plate fabrics look like 30s materials.

It does not mean it was made in the 30s ......... I remember my Mom still having that type of fabric around our home in the 50s and making things with it. And besides, we can buy 30s repros today. Will that confuse people in the future, or what? :)

What makes you think it was made in the 60s? Her age? Something she told you?

it's beautiful. i've never seen one with such large center circles. but that does make it look more like a plate.

I was measuringthe quilt just now and found "Grandma 76, 1935 " embroidered on the corner...so glad I looked close!

Glad that you spotted that!
Now ... can you do some super-sleuthing and find out who Grandma might be? And the significance of 1935? Perhaps it's synonymous with the wedding date for the lady from whom you received the quilt?

Then add a label to the quilt with the quilt's story, and how you came to have it in your possession.
