I've never done cardboard, but I've sewn the skirt I was wearing into my work. Long time ago, but still.....

hehehe. at least the cardboard can be removed without unsewing the quilt

LOL!! I once sewed a label to my quilt...in between the layers. Then, I hand quilted it in place. It's a good thing we can laugh at our mistakes!
