My FIRST Anniversary - Thanks Everyone!

Today is my first anniversary of being a member of the Quilting Board. I am so blessed by being here and want to thank all of you for accepting 'GrandPa'. :o

I have learned so much here...challenged and encouraged. Being disabled has its challenges but quilting is something I can do at my own pace and certainly enjoy the process. I am finding that I really enjoy the slower pace of hand-sewing the binding on the backs. I think I might soon venture to hand quilting the entire quilt...maybe.

There have been some very kind and generous souls who have so graciously shared from their stash with me. You have blessed me more than you will ever know.

My love and blessings to all!
GrandPa
PS: and I am so thankful for Elmer's School Glue

Happy anniversary Grandpa. Yes, I too love Elmer's School glue. Isn't it funny that small things make us smile?

This is so true! I have been going with my ever progressing skill levels but the posts of so many skilled and talented quilters encourage me to go higher and higher. I've been making primarily Quilts for Kids which has been wonderful for learning and practice (as well as contributing to a need) but now I'm ready to try more complex and larger projects also. Here is a quilt top I just finished for my wife. It is post #142 on this page: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...ml#post4628543

Also, here's my dream sewing machine...a Juki 98QE. In time. In time!

This is a fun place to be
:D. Thanks so much to all!

Still having fun!
GrandPa
