the microwable bowls

Has anyone had a bad experience with these bowls??? I did see several people posted about the potato bag I made several of these bowls for the microwave don't want to gift if there is a problem with them. I used 100% cotton and 100%cotton batting and also used cotton thread.

I use mine I made all the time. If you used cotton you can put them in the microwave. I made over 50 as gifts, I did use unsul-brite and told them not to put them in the microwave,

I made some too, but only use them to hold the bowl "after" it comes out of the microwave. I'm not brave enough to try cooking with the bowl in them yet, lol.

We have been using ours for a couple months and have had no problems with them (other than food cooking over). Mine are all cotton and we love them.

I gave them to family members and made a copy of the warning that is on the Warm Tater batting. I also gave them explicit instructions to only use them to warm food, not to leave the micro unattended and to wash before using if something spills on it. I also warned them that some people have had fires with them but I've used mine everyday for several months and haven't had any problem. I was going to make them to sell, but decided I didn't want the liability.

We use them all the time for reheating food. I made a few with cotton batting but now I omit the batting and use up scrap fabric making the bowls with four layers of fabric. Some posted it was the batting that was the fire hazard so just eliminate it. We rarely heat foods for more then 2 min.

I use mine everyday and have never had a problem!

We never use ours in the microwave for more than 60-90 seconds. Usually forget to use it anyway and have to get the dish out with hot pads.

I was going to make some until I read the post about the potato bags.
My husband heated a towel in the microwave several times when I was ill. The last time he heated it, it started on fire. I guess the microwave zaps all the moisture out of the fabric. I'm thinking the same thing will happen with the fabric bowls.

I've sold over 50 and have had no complaints, and I used warm and natural batting.
