Cleaning Irons

I just read that to clean an iron by setting it on low and rub the dryer sheet over it to clean it. This site has some other great tips: http://www.bundle.com/article/9-hous.../?frommsn=true

I saw a video of Sharon Schamners how she cleans her iron, It really really works. She runs the hot or cold iron back and forth over a Mr. clean magic eraser. Then after cleaning the iron just rinse out the sponge and it is as good as new.
Here is her video for the process. http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_u...?v=qeY9nydiILM

Snipforfun, I could not use your link -- this one works and I really like that idea because I can't stand the smell of dryer sheets or the iron cleaning stuff.

What a great hint! I need to do this as soon as I buy a Magic Eraser. Thanks for posting this.

This is great! Love not having to buy that cream stuff to clean the iron.

Thanks for the tip! Used the magic eraser with the hot iron and it cleaned the iron beautifully!
