Beautiful silk pocket squares
 
I have about 20 of these from my father and grandfather. They are about 12 inches square. They have been sitting and waiting for a great idea. It hasn't happened yet. I know many of you have made some beautiful things out of men's ties. Any ideas?

Sue, have you found a pattern you like yet? Google silk tie quilts and then click on images. You may be surprised at how nice some patterns are. One search I did is here: http://tinyurl.com/m2bytn4

I think you might need to use a special needle. I know when I bought some fabric in South Korea several years ago, I had a special needle so it didn't "pull" or snag the threads in the fabric. Might want to check before you start sewing.
