Been out of the loop for a while but can't wait to join in again!

Quite a few of my friends here will already know that my DH was suffering from terminal cancer for the last two years, John lost his fight two weeks ago. I nursed him at home with my youngest son until the end, which was a relief when it came as he fought right until his last breath...he just didn't want to die....

Life feels very strange without him, so it is now time for me to pick up my favourite hobby again and heal myself with quilting. I have a couple of projects to be getting on with so watch this space!

I would like to thank all my friends here who have supported me over the last two years since John was diagnosed, you are all angels, without my therapy here, life could have been far more stressful for me...bless you all! :D

So now, life goes on and I am going to settle back with a cuppa and check out all the latest pictures to get me back into the groove! :D :D :D

Welcome home, Izy. My condolences, hugs and prayers are all yours today. Please take it slow. I have been in your place, and the feelings are intense. Feel free to PM me if I can lend an ear and a shoulder. Quilt therapy

can be a marvelous thing, can't it! hugs, Miriam

I'm sorry for your loss. I don't know if I'll see a cure for cancer it in my lifetime but I'm hopeful.

Miriam said it best: welcome home, Izy. So, so sorry for your family's loss and will keep you in my prayers. Come here any time, bring your cuppa and let us sit with you. Quilt away---stitch your memories, pain, sorrow, and hopes in a quilt. That can be the best therapy. Remember-just keep putting one foot in front of the other. You have an angel watching over you.
Peace-Jan
