My son-in-law (quadie in a wheelchair) had this wonderful idea the other day.
I could come over to their place ( 2 hours away) They are having a fund raiser for their little country school on our state election day. Guess what --- daughter can't cook, so I'm coming over to cook cakes so they can freeze them until Saturday week then sell them at the sale.
I can also do some odd jobs, then cart their cattle to the sale on Tuesday

Where is daughter? Why are they so far away? You could say no--and send them a donation for the school.

So you're the angel in disguise I've been hearing about! I'm betting your cakes are wonderful ... wish we could all pitch in and help you (well, maybe not with the cattle). You're the best mom and MIL ever.

Aren't you glad they volunteered you! Just think, you wouln't have had anything to do if they wouldn't have volunteered you!
