In the works - Baby Honu quilt
2 Attachment(s)
I am making this quilt for my new granddaughter due in August. The pattern is by Lisa Boyer and is called Baby Honu. It's a combination of paper pieced and appliqued blocks. I just finished the paper pieced blocks and need to applique the turtles onto the background so I can assemble the top. The legs, head and tail are loose, held down by the shell. It's such a cute pattern. Here is a link:

Pretty quilt!

Sew cute. I love that the parts aren't sewn down. More interest for your DGD to be.

My goodness! That is the neatest quilt ever! Your new little DGD is one lucky little lady to have such a nice grammy to make her such a fabulous quilt! Thank you for showing it to us... darling!

Wow! Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

It's very cute. Perfect for any new baby, but extra special when it comes from Grandma!

I made the same quilt pattern and my son loves it. I really like your color choices. We both used one of the same blue fabrics. I also like your baby turtles. I didn't think to try that. My turtle shells were alot wonkier as it was my first applique...
