Most Popular Word Used

I sometimes get to wondering about things in our language. I was playing a word game and thought I wonder what the most used word in our language is today?

So my answer would have to be the. But lets concentrate instead on nouns and verbs.

for Nouns I am going to say Yes is the most used word
for Verbs I will say go is the most used word

So what do you all think? I would love to hear your thoughts on this

Better yet what do you think the top 10 most common nouns are? and then of course the top 10 verbs?

Isnt' it sad that take is probably used more than give?

bring is used instead of take 90% of the time, which drives me crazy. or YAY for Yea.

Conjunctions such and 'of' and 'and' must be up there?
i have to disagree with your classification of 'yes' as a noun! No idea what the most commonly used noun might be- possibly something like 'question'?

This drives me crazy too. I thought I was the only one. How do people learn to talk this way? Also, what about I'm going to come up to see you when they have to go south? :)

I looked it up before posting yes as a noun - http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/d.../british/yes_2

yes--an affirmative reply
I learned something today. I hadn't thought of "yes" in this way, although that is exactly what it is!
