Wedding Gift Quilt FINISHED!
5 Attachment(s)
I started this quilt many months ago, not knowing what I'd be doing with it, got bored, so put all the blocks into a container and set them aside. In the meantime, we received a wedding invitation for a special niece, so...the colors were perfect for them so I got busy! SO glad I had most of the blocks done, and didn't have enough of the background fabric, but got lucky and found a near-full bolt at Joann's, so bought it all and glad I did. I used just about every last drop of it! The quilt measures 100" W X 108" L. I did all the quilting myself on my Janome 6600P. It was a huge chore, lots of fabric to keep moving around, but we'll just call it a labor of love.
At one point I got sort of tangled up in the quilt and was laughing so hard DH came running with the camera and snapped a candid shot of me buried under it. He then posted it on his facebook wall for all to see. :o As you can see by the photo, my quilting space is VERY limited, but I'm thankful for the king size bed for layouts! :D I think we downsized a little to far this time, so maybe we'll be house hunting again in the near future! lol
Anyway, it was a fun project, but I'm really happy it's done, AND in plenty of time for the wedding this coming Saturday.
