not to keen on the plastic case, but the machine is calling my name. Now all of you LEAVE THIS ONE ALONE. LOL

Except for those places near the bobbin, this one looks like it had very little use. I wonder why there is so much grime there? The 185 is a great little machine. Apparently those plastic cases are not super durable, so finding one with the original case intact is a plus. Mine had a lot of scuff marks on (the case) and I was able to get most of them off by scrubbing. Good luck bidding.

I seen this one. It does look nice. Why are the cover plates always missing. Hope you win it!!!

I have the same machine. I found it at the Salvation Army and bought it for $25.00. My case looked as dirty as this one but cleaned up beautifully. The machine itself looks like it barely used. I just love the machine (and the green color)! The plastic base on mine is at the end of it's life span (for plastic) so although it is still in good shape my father in law made me a wooden base to put the machine in. I kept the original plastic one to preserve whatever value this machine may have some day. Good luck! I hope you win it!

Very very pretty, that case can be scrubbed and it will look great. Good Luck.

It sure is a pretty color.

We bought one from a QB forum member last year. Cleaned it up, Tri-Flow'd it, and replaced the spool peg then tested it. My wife declared it hers. She says it sews so quiet and easy she's keeping it.

Our case is kind of beat looking too but it's intact other than needing one new latch assembly for the top.
It also needs a new light, there was a 20 watt bulb in it that burned the light housing.

For scuff marks on the case and other plastic parts that wont wash off, I've found Brasso works well. It will clean and polish clear plastic lenses so it won't hurt the cases at all.

Parrynj, could you show us a picture of the box? I have two, going to sell one now that I've cleaned, oiled, and made it sew like a champ. Hate those cases.

Hi folks, I too love this machine. I looked and looked and finally found one at Habitat Re-Store. I subscribe to their mailing list and saw it. Drove and hour and a half to get it. Got lost and it started pouring the rain. However, none of this stopped me and my beautiful machine is sitting in my craft room. It's in a cabinet. I don't like the cabinet, it's blonde and I don't know if I can paint it. Back to the machine, it looks as if it has never been used. Has the original green band.

Here's a thought - don't post it till you've bought it!
