I took my first quilting class in the spring of 2000. I completed a sampler top for the class, but then at age 45 went back to college. Now 8 years and several degrees later, school is over and this April I took my second quilting class. We pieced a Carpenters Star. I completed it at home and this morning at 2AM.....I finished it!!!! I am soooooo excited. Here is my quilt. I almost feel embrassed to post it after seeing all the awesome and beautiful art posted, but I don't think it is too bad for one of my first attempts.

thanks for the encouraging words. The colors of the picture aren't quite as rich as the real thing, but love those colors too. I didn't realize it when I bought them, but they were almost the exact same colors as my daughter had in her wedding 3 years ago :) |
You certainly should be proud. It's gorgeous!
