Cold Winter's Eve at the Solstice
1 Attachment(s)
This was inspired by an acrylic painting posted on the google page at the Solstice. It just spoke to me of the mystery of this time of the year.
The trees are fashioned from Gimp, unraveled and separated. The shadow is actually crayon. How could I possible have time to do this and post on Christmas Eve. Well, I'm sitting here with a glass of wine. No one is coming to my house until Christmas Day and Hubby is cooking his three days of feasts. I'm banned from the kitchen. Of course I made all the cookies and tarts last week. Merry Christmas MaryKatherine |

Gorgeous! How did you fasten the tree threads down? Wish I had a Christmas elf to do my cooking.:)

The upper part of the trees were covered with a washable stabilizer and then over stitched with invisible thread. The trucks were simply anchored. A quick rise under the tap and all the branches of the trees are 3 dimensional with occasional tacking.
Merry Christmas and Thanks MaryKatherine |
