Diamond Jubilee Bargello in greytones and blue
1 Attachment(s)
This is a joint effort with my MIL. Every year we make two quilts to help support the schools her grandchildren attend. They get sold on auction in the spring. This particular quilt is the Diamond Jubilee pattern. I chose the materials and cut the strips, and she enjoys doing the piecing. It's fun to work with her; we have very different tastes and I've learned to make allowances for her more traditional preferences and she's learned to trust my sense of color. It is hand quilted; she paid a local quilter to do that for us. Hope you enjoy looking at it!

Beautiful I would not be able to give it up. I would buy it back myself.

Oh, I love this quilt! You color choices make it appear to be undulating!
|
It's beautiful! Great job by you and your Mom & the hand quilter! I hope it raises lots of money!
|
I love the Bargellos that looks like they are moving. Great quilt!

WOW, I could never do that but you sense of color is just great..love it.. I have a diamond jubilee pattern that is totally different than this one, it has medallion star in the center and 12 12" smaller ones around the center star. all paper pieced I bought the pattern mag from "quilts with style.com" Jan/Feb 2006, issue 56 and made it...would add a picture but cannot remember how to insert photo in the url bar.LOL...
