1966 machines

I'm thinking about a birth year machine. What do you suggest for a 1966 machine?

Did they make featherweights in 1966?

Thanks,
Christine

How about a 201? According to ISMACS they made the 201K class from 1934 to 1981.
Also the 221s were made up until 1970 so you should be able to find one of those for 1966.

The 223 was made from 1966 to 1970.
The 274K was made from 1965 to 1966.
The 275K was made from 1965 to 1967.

There is a lot of information on ISMACS pages. Here's the one I got the above info from:

Which brand(s) are you interested in? Elna and I'm sure Bernina were making interesting machines around then, plus I'm not quite sure when the multi-colored and chromed Japanese machines stopped being made in favor of the more bland white and beige machines.
