"Cry Uncle" is done! I've never put this much thread on a quilt!

I can't tell you how much you ladies helped me on this. Because of your encouragement, it stayed on the machine instead going back to age in the box!
I used the teal for the border and I'm thinking about entering it in a fair this summer before it goes to my girl. The back is a mottled purple fleece and it has a layer of batting too. It should be nice and warm for her New England winter at school. And even with all that thread, the fleece kept it fairly soft. I ran through a 1500 yard spool and started a second one. Yikes! It's roughly 55x74, so it should fit those XL bunks at school. We like our couch throws a little big! :) |
Wow! What an intriguing quilt! I guess you did QAYG? I love the quilting -- the back is as interesting as the front. Great job!

No, I wish I had done it quilt as you go. There was more stitch-stop-flip-stitch-stop-flip-stitch-stop-flip than I want to think about.

Great job! Well worth the "thread count"! :)
