That is wonderful. My grandmother would have loved it. She used to have a few records with song birds songs on it. When I was young I thought she was crazy, but when we would be sitting outside, she could identify all kinds of birds. My mom and dad had clocks that had the bird sounds with every hour. Your quilt would have fit in perfectly in their homes.

Hope your father loves it.

Wow, he is going to love that quilt! I knitted my dad a muffler for what turned out to be his last birthday. I could tell it meant alot to him and seeing him wear it is one of my fondest memories of him.
