my new singer 66 redeye
 

my craigslist find.. singer 66 redeye , born sept 17, 1918. she is really pretty... just minor cleaning
and the cabinet is in great shape. looks like tiger eye wood. she is really going to be nice cleaned up.
I do need to find the foot pedal for the treadle. this machine has motor but I am going to make it a treadle again.

She's really a beautiful machine! And, I don't blame you, I think I would convert her back to a treadle, too!

oh, I forgot to add this little bit of info. I am her third owner. The man I bought it from is 70 and it was his mothers machine. She bought it new and took such great care of it. you can see that from the condition it is in. I let him know that a lover of old singers had her and I would take good care of her. plus, I can use the cabinet for both of my 66's.

She is a beauty. Looks like she has already been cleaned! Lucky you!

Beautiful machine. I have my red eye sitting on top of my treadle in the living room, she's that pretty too.
