My "new" Vintage thread cabinet!
2 Attachment(s)
If you push the side of the top drawer, it swings open with a place for thread and notions. The bottom part is one deep drawer. Perfect for storing all my handwork projects without having them on the side table or coffee table constantly.
There are no markings on it, so if anyone has any info on the maker or age I would love to hear it. I know it is not an antique, but am wondering when it was made. |
My mom had a thread cabinet from the 40's or 50's. I remember the trays inside the drawers, but not the swing out like your. I think your's is probably older than that.

Very cool, I want one.

Absolutely beautiful piece of furniture for your home and hobby. I have not seen one like that in quite a while. I hope you enjoy it for a long time.

Beautiful cabinet! I have my current project in a plastic storage box with the flip up lid, always sitting around. Yours is so much prettier! Great find!

A very lovely cabinet. I would think from the 30s or the 40s.

I have one similar, but with only one drawer instead of two like yours. The best part about mine is it is the perfect size (and height) to put along side a vintage sewing machine cabinet - as you can fold out the top and it goes right over this cabinet.

My grandmother had one just like that. She kept her darning supplies in there.
