Have you ever make a top you just don't like?

Do you just push through and finish it anyway?
I just made a large wall hanging that I loved the pattern for, but I can't warm up to the reality hanging on my design wall.... Watson (The side borders aren't on yet...) |
If you don't like it, make a little bigger and send to a charity. I like the colors.

Mine are called UFOs. Some I don't know if will ever get finished unless I am really desperate for something to do 😉

yes just work through it. i had one once i didn't like the colors when i was making it
but i finished and when my niece came she loved the colors and she said it would go with her living room. so home it went, she loves it. |
If it isn't something you like, just finish the top and see if some charity group will finish the quilt and donate it to a worthy cause.

I have one now that has "haunted" me for 3 years. It's a 12-sided wall hanging from Phillips Fiber Art--love the look of her patterns but have no idea how to quilt or bind it. It's in The Box That Shall Never Be Opened.

If you hate it too much even to finish it for charity, try cutting it up again and using in another quilt! It's all part of our learning process, so it wasn't a waste of time.

Yes, all the time. I usually push thru and finish it. If I absolutely can't stand it, I have donated them to Community Quilts and let someone else finish it.

I think it's great and once you add quilting in the negative space you will love it!
