Eldredge/National hand crank
I have acquired an Eldredge or maybe a National hand crank sewing machine. Where can I find information and possible needed parts ?
Thank you for your help! |
Is this a full size or 3/4 size machine? BTW - Eldredge merged with June in the late 1800's and became National. National continued to use the name "Eldredge" up until they went out of business. So it's most likely you have a National badged Eldredge.
First you need to identify what model you have, you can post a picture and see if anyone knows, or you can go to Needlebar's photo gallery and look at the different National models and find one that looks similar - but ignore names and decals - they often aren't useful to identify models. This is my National hand crank - badged Eldredge D http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...pstl8dvjfm.jpg |

This is the machine that I think is an Eldredge or National. There is what I think is a serial number. 1968081 stamped on the area where the front bobbin slide plate is missing

Oh, what a beauty you have found. Lucky you!

Yes, that is a National - I have two like that, but they are electric.

I have a very similar machine. Told it was an eldredge Expert B. Bobbin winder is different from pictured machine.
