I hadn't sewed earlier from fabric edges.
It is my first experience. I have sewed some potholders and have added applications and decorative machine lines. my favorite |
Gorgeous potholders!
You have a wonderful eye for color--love them all! |
Really like them all and wonderful use for the salvages that I usually just save to tie up tomatoe plants and such. :!:

Thank you, girls!
I used them for tomatos earlier too (WOW, you live in the USA, I live in Russia and we do identical things! ). But then I have got on this site - http://selvageblog.blogspot.com/ . There are amazing things from selvages! |
Roolen,
Your potholders are beautiful! What size are they? I will take a look at your website. Great work. |
I LOVE them. I am making pot holders for Christmas gifts and never thought of putting an aplique on them. I plan to copy your idea - thanks so much for sharing.

Great job!! When making potholders what do you use in the middle so they'll be heat proof?
|
I love these!
My husband grew tomatoes this past summer and his plants got so wild, the selvages would have come in handy...never thought to offer him some. Now I'm learning about all these beautiful things you can do with selvages, don't know if I want to share with him or not. |
Love them  Awesome job on colors as well. Thanks for sharing.

Hi what a great idea... I normally keep my selvadges to tie up new shoots on creepers and keep new trees tied to a stake. I have also shared some with friends. ha ha ..... but never thought of using them as potholders...keep up the good work. ciao
