Need help using EZ-Steam
Never used EZ-Steam by Pellon. Package says trace pattern on side without backing. There is a shiny side and a rough, sticky side. Dumb me, not knowing which side was the backing, called Pellon and she said the fusible side is the shiny. So to me that meant trace on the other side which is hard to trace on because it is rough and sticky. So, am I using this product correctly or not? Very discouraged. Too embarrassed to call Pellon again. I usually use Steam-a-Seam and love it, but the quilt shop I made a quick stop at did not carry it. So sorry I went with the EZ-Steam. Can anyone help me please?

I would cut off a little piece, and iron it between two scraps of fabric and see which one sticks. I end up doing this quite often with fusibles; it's the best way to be sure!
Good luck :) |
Jennifer that is the most wonderful suggestion I've ever heard!

If you do this test please post they outcome. I also have some of this product and don't know which side to trace on. I would probably trace on the smooth side, I have used this before and I think that is what I did but don't know for sure. In my mind the sticky side would be the rough side especially because it is very difficult to trace on . Please let us know.
