Hobbs Cloud Loft Batting

I want some cozy, snuggly quilts. I find Warm and Natural and Hobbs 80/20 are fine for bedspread-type quilts, but not for wrapping up in...not the quilted hug I’m looking for.

Hobbs Cloud Loft sounds appealing and I’m going to order a couple of packages. Any one with experience with this batting? Happy with it? If not, why not?

Thanks,
Margaret

Haven't used Cloud Loft but more than 20 of my quilts have the Hobbs Polydown in them. They have nice loft that shows off any quilting. They wear like iron, do not wrinkle when folded for a length of time and never feel too heavy on the body.

I've not used it on a large quilt myself but recently finished hand quilting a baby quilt for a friend. I know she always used Quilters Dream Select 100% cotton. That quilt was very drapable and I'm sure will be quite snuggly.

Can you put an iron on the Hobbs Polydown? I do lots of Quilt as you go.

I would never put an iron on any poly bat due to melting.
But have you tried Hobbs Tuscany Cotton Supreme? It's fairly new, bit pricey, but wow is it soft and feels thicker than their regular 100% cotton. It's got no scrim, is needle punched. Know you can find it on Connecting Threads website.

I have been putting no pill fleece on the back of baby quilts without batting inside. Makes them warm and snuggily plus they are quilted on a long arm with out any issues
