In search of purple finger sean seperator

ok...I'm really not loosing my mind. Somewhere in my travels on the internet or catalogs from various sewing supply companies I've seen a purple item that you wear on your index finger to be inserted in your seam allowance to help pull it apart so that you can easily iron the seam open. Clear as mud right? Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where I can order one. I've almost finished a quilt top and spent a lot of time separating my seams while trying not to burn my fingers. Not looking for the blue finger cots that prevent burnt fingers. Thank you.

I remember that! They use to be in the old Clothilde's Sewing Catalog. That catalog was great. It had all the rare and so useful sewing aids. Annie's bought Clothilde but it isn't anything like the original. I think this is what you are looking for. I have one and use it all the time: http://store.thequiltshow.com/finger...c0223e68310bb1

the working part reminds me of a flat style office staple remover, I think I'll try that out.

Yes I just saw it a few minutes ago on the quilt show shop. I wondered if people found much use for it!

Doubt I would ever use one. I just go slow, finger press the seam open, grab the iron and press. I never press all my seams open.

This one does not have the flat end, it has the pointed end. Very different uses.

Well that looks like a handy gadget! Might have to order one as I press all my seams open. Thanks for the heads up!
