Willing to hire quilting assistant. No sewing experience required

In my dreams I would love to have someone shadow me to do the mundane stuff.
Such as:
  1. Return leftover fab to shelving. Must restock in correct place
  2. Tidy fabric on shelves
  3. Iron seams as required
  4. Tidy cuttilng table
  5. Organize scraps
  6. Assist in choosing corrrect color combinations
  7. Vacuum
  8. Make lunch for both of us
  9. Glue baste quilt
What am I missing? I know I will wake up from this dream in a few minutes.

Oh but it is such a good feeling when you do it yourself.

I don't think I'd want someone doing that sort of thing for me. I think I need to control everything. (Not in the world, just in my quilting universe, LOL)

Isn't that what fabric/pattern designers have? I know a few speakers we have had ,at our guild, have mentioned their pattern testers etc. You just have to get famous:D

I would like to have someone who would do the rest of the non-quilting stuff. Like mopping the floors, cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, paying the bills, feeding and grooming the dog, paying the bills, cooking and bringing me meals, grocery shopping, mowing the lawn, weeding the garden. I can do the quilting stuff myself!

Julienm1, those are great ideas. The biggest one I'd want someone to do is glue baste the quilts for me. I hate that job!

I'm with you!

You missed having someone hand sewn the binding in place with invisible stitches.

sounds like it would be dreamy for you to buy quilts at Wallyworld :)

I like doing all that stuff, keeps me humble and accountable, and reminds me to be a good steward of my time and money.
I would dearly love having someone come in and dust once a month, particularly the high stuff. Gosh we live in a dusty house.

I would like the part about putting things back in place.

Dragging/pulling everything out and selecting is part of the fun for me.
