Batting

Where wil you buy batting now that Joann’s is closing?

I've always ordered mine from BattingSupply.com when they're on sale though. I usually order 80/20 or maybe its' 70/30 in the king size so I have leftovers I can put back together for another quilt using binding tape.

Marshall's Dry Goods sells rolls of batting. They have their brand MDG too and most LAs in my area buy that.
Hobby Lobby has Warm and Natural batting by the roll on sale for 40% off every other week.
For single sizes I buy from Missouri Star, stock up when it's 30% off.
Pellon natural cotton batting is sold at Walmart in packages. I use that for donation quilts.
Connecting Threads has different brands of batting. I buy the wool and silk batting from there when I want to use those in a quilt.
I have always found better prices somewhere else other than Joann's most times.

I'm working on a roll of the discontinued Warm Company's 50/50 that I got years ago on clearance, after that I'm planning on buying a roll of Quilter's Dream Green, probably from Linda's but there are so many places, Marshall's Dry Goods, Batting Supply, a friend likes the Fat Quarter Shop brand batting, Batting Super Sale

most of the local shops in my area don't carry batting anymore, probably cause most people I know buy it by the roll online.

edited to take out the obnoxious link

I never did buy batting at Joann. I buy it from my LQS. I want to give them my business so that when I need them they will be there. Plus, the host our twice monthly quilting bee and want them to keep doing that too.

I get mine at BattingSuperSale.com. They run sales frequently and sell in most brands in packages or rolls and the best part of all they have free shipping in 48 or 50 states. They also have fabric, thread and notions.

I've even found good batting buys on Amazon.

that's where I bought my Warm Company batting rolls, I used the Soft & Bright for years and then got the roll of 50/50 when it was on clearance years ago (paid $52 for a 90" x 25yd roll!) great prices and the batting shipped directly from the Warm Company!
I've looked at Quilter's Dream on Amazon but I know a couple people who got what we think are counterfeit batting on there, the packaging looked the same but the product was NOT the same product as what they got from the LQS or at the more "authorized" QD dealers online.

Wal Mart - online. I buy the Pellon 80/20 by the bolt. Very affordable - around 40 bucks for 96" wide, 9 yards on bolt. I get about 3 quilts done for every bolt. I used it for years and machine quilt my own quilts. It has held up beautifully. Sometimes it goes out of stock, but then it comes back in.
