Any quilty fun games we could play in groups

Left right center dice game using fabric and sewing items for prizes. It is very easy and fun.

We had about six members participate in a fun thing. One would be introduced and then three things were read about the person. One was true the other two false. We had some hilarious results. The person was asked to explain how that became a true statement.

How do you play this game. I have not heard of it

It uses 3 dice. We call it 'Strip Poker' and it is a favourite. The name comes from the 'buy in'. To participate you must have five 2.5 x WOF strips. On the dice, 1,2 and 3 are 'safe'--keep your strips. 4 is pass to the left, 5 is pass to the right and 6 is put in the center. You only roll the amount of dice that corresponds with the amount of strips you have left, meaning that if you only have 2 strips left, you only roll 2 dice on that round. But as we play it, just because you have no strips left, does not mean you are out of the game. You can always get some from what the folks on either side of you roll. The winner is the last person who has a strip left.

This can also be played with fat quarters, etc. We just seem to gravitate to strips. We usually have a theme. The last time, it was Christmas in July--so one lady went home with enough strips to make a Christmas quilt. This works best if you have no more than about 15 people at a table. Otherwise it takes too long.

We also have little credit card sized 'cheat sheets' scattered around the table, so that the participants remember what each number means.

Another one for a smallish group of people who (think they) know each other well, is each person writes down a fact about themselves. The cards are shuffled and laid out on a table. Everyone tries to match the fact to a person. It revealed some very interesting things when we played it.

you can also buy the dice set that are marked L, R, C, and a dot (wihch means you don't have to give up any of your strips). The dice set is very inexpensive . We play with buttons. When everyone is out of buttons, the winner gets to pick her prize. At our last retreat we had an assortment of jelly rolls and other precuts.

question if you roll a 4 or 5 do you pass all your 5 strips. If so and you end up with 10 strips when your turn would you pass all 10. So the continues till one person has all the strips except those in centre. What happens to thise in the centre

The LRC game is available on Amazon. You can play a round with each player contributing something to the "pot" that the winner receives. A dollar bill, a fat quarter, strips of fabric.. Then each player gets 3 markers to pass to the left, right, center (which removes the marker from play), or safely keep the marker-according to the dice roll. The game comes with little plastic chips to use for markers, or you could just use 3 fat quarters! Last one standing wins!
