i am attempting to make curtains and i bought black out fabric it says dry clean recommended so i was wondering if i could put it in my washer usually i would follow directions but my fabric said the same thing but i was told that i could wash it so i did and it came out fine.

Hi TRSamuelsz - you could wash a piece of material in the washing machine that you have left over and see how it comes out..... Joy.

Hi - I've worked with similar fabric. Sometimes it works to wash it, sometimes it doesn't. I've done a cold hand wash and then spun it dry, then air fluff. That seems to be the best.
