Hi Everyone -
I currently have a little contraption that has a pincushion weight that sits on the edge of my sewing table and has a little bag hanging off the edge.
There's one big section (that i put cut threads in) and a few smaller pockets that I put a pen and a stitch ripper in.

The problem - it keeps falling off!

Has anyone a better solution?
Anyone make a tool caddy for the sewing table?

I put my small ironing board on a table to the right of me and can use that space to keep my seam ripper in a coffee mug

YES!
Something like that - but, does that land in your lap if you hook it onto the machine?

I was thinking the same thing, I would probably make mine hang from the side of the table using the rubber shelf paper backing and something heavy to hold it.

I did make one like you were originally talking about to go over the side of the recliner with the scrap bag on the outside and the toolbag on the inside. I use this for hand sewing, etc.

I've got a hotpad laying beside my machine and lay the seamripper, stiletto, lint brush, and wooden iron on them. They don't roll off & they're always right next to me when I need them.

another idea is to take a some placemats, sew to make pockets and part of it to sit under your sewing machine
