Hi - I'm thinking of buying one. I already have the 440QE and love it but I'm just so tired of wrestling with my large quilts while quilting. A longarm is not an option as they are not available in Kuwait and shipping one in is way too expensive. Does anyone have one and what are your thoughts?

What about a Janome Horizon and frame? I've got the 830, but it's a pricey machine to keep as a long arm.

I agree with Candace. That's an expensive machine to keep on a frame. I have a Juki TL98Q on my Handiquilter frame and I love it. The Juki is a high speed straight stitch machine and costs about $900-1000. I've also heard great things about the Janome 1600P. They both have longer throats and fit nicely on quilting frames.

Our local Bernina dealer won't carry this machine. He say its too expensive, and has too many problems.

Sounds like he doesn't know how to service one. My dealer has them flying out the door. I love mine.

Though it sounds like this person wants the huge harp size and Juki doesn't provide that.

Hi, we have very few dealers in Kuwait. No Janome dealership, so thats not an option. Thanks for the advice will think about this for awhile longer. :)

I saw the reply from thew lady who has one and likes it. But our service man is excellent, and if he says "no", then that's all that counts for me. Its very expensive....
