I'm considering purchasing a Singer Curvy Model 8763 and was just curious if any of you have one? What are your thoughts are on it either way, good or bad? Thanks!

I'm not familiar with that model, but new Singers in general do not have the good build quality you can find in other brands. Sears Kenmore machines, for example, tend to find much more favor with quilters than new Singer brand machines. (The vintage Singers are a different story.....)

The only thing that concerns me about this machine is you can't manually adjust the tension...

I recently purchased this machine. It is definitely for the novice quilter/sewer. It was very very easy to follow. However, I would have preferred it had more decorative stiches.
