Hi everyone. here I am sewing along merrily. Having a great time. I set my work down and go back to it the next day. So when I return, the tension is off. really icky loopy almost jamming the machine. So... I check the bobbin, I change my needle (which turns out was in dire need of changing), re-thread, clean the darned thing. Using test fabric...changing the tension..over and over to try to make it right again... no luck. then I hit it :) yaaa!!!! So I get to sewing. going my normal speed, after about 6 inches i check the underneath. It it WRONG! it's just sitting there not lacing up. so i try my test fabric again (same as my project) and its wrong. so I go slower, to see if I can hear anything unusual. I flip it over to look at the bottom. It's fine.

So, it's only fine if i go slow???? Grrrrr. I have a Singer, about 4 years old, and up til now I have loved it. Any ideas?

I can't help you, but I can identify with the tension issues. That is my worst problem on my machine, getting the tension adjusted correctly! Best of luck to you! I'm sure someone here can help you.

I had that happen with mine and had rethreaded a dozen times when I realized the thread was on the wrong side of a tension disc. Rethreaded again and all was well.

I so identify with this issue on tension, I had the same thing happen, fine one day, go back the next and it is off. I had a White jeans machine, I finally decided in the interest of mental health to let it go and donated it, I found a really nice "used" viking when someone else upgraded, and I am enjoying quilting now.I was so close to giving it up, so not worth the frustration. They are alternatives even if you can't afford the fancy new machines.

I have a singer also. and when that happens to me it is the bobbin.change it . since you moved your tension you will
most like have to adjust it again.
but that should work.
