Could I make a rag quilt out of fleece? I have quite a bit of it, and was trying to think of a way to make blankets with it.

I haven't tried it, but others have asked the same question and fleece doesn't ravel very much so I don't think it would make a very good rag quilt! JMHO!

I have made several. No, fleece doesn't unravel like flannel. But, if you make your cuts about 1/4 inch apart, it still looks very nice. They are very warm and you only need to use the top and bottom layers - you don't need anything in the middle.

Yes and you don't get the threads and mess with "true" Rag quilts that need cutting washing and drying.

Many people do, but I just quilt mine.

Go for it! I have made a couple and yes, they do not ravel but they do look nice and they are WARM.

Just a thought but if you have enough yardage you could piece together the fleece and make a patchwork "snuggie". there are patterns available online... like the http://www.sissonfamily.com/Sewingro...thesnuglet.pdf I've made them that way and everyone loved them.
