I made a baby quilt and didn't want to have to do binding. So I sewed batting and backing to the front and just turned it . Well needless to say somehow the front ended up being bigger than the back. Guess I won't do any more shortcuts. The back is flannel so hope I can shrink it a little in the laundry.

What do you mean when you say the front was bigger. There may be an easy solution. Can you post a pic?

I don't have a picture but the front ended up being about 1 1/2 inches wider than the back when I turned it. I did some SID around the border, down and across the center. It just does not lie taut like it should.

I just did the same thing for the same reason. my back is bigger than the front, gotta take it all apart

instead of taking them all apart, let the front turn to the back and make a "binding" on the back...mark and match the center top and bottom and sides of both and just turn the front over the back like you would have done it in reverse. Because there may be extra bulk int he corners, you may have to work with those a little.
