Thanks Donna, my experience with quilters is that they are such a delightfully friendly and helpful bunch of folks, usually with a great sense of humour too. Bette

Thanks for the welcome Sue. I live in a village on the Murray River which forms the border between the two States, Victoria and New South Wales (NSW). Took a "Tree Change"from Melbourne the capital of Victoria just about 7 years ago. Tend to count distance in hours to drive there rather than kilometres, it would take at least 2 days serioous driving to get to Queensland (have done it). Living on an island off Queensland would feature in many folks dreams. Have lived in quite a few places, incl. 8 years in New Zealand. Love the village life, I can dress like a slob (after many years working in Admin/PA roles with big company execs in cities - boy when I look back and think of what I spent on clothes and now I would rather spend on material!! !) and fit in really well. Have even taking to camping, only have to drive about 8 kms from home and wonderful camping spots along the river). Always have some handsewing to keep me occupied. Bette
