Here is a recipe that is easy and quick to make. I don't normally like cranberrys, but I love this dish. To me it is a dessert, but my mom said it is a side dish.
Cranberry Crunch Ingredients: 2-16 oz. cans of whole berry cranberry sauce (I could only find 14 oz cans so that is what I used) 1 cup of oatmeal (quick cooking) ½ cup all purpose flour (I used self-rising) 1 cup brown sugar 1 stick butter Directions: Spread cranberry sauce into a glass 8 x 8 dish. Combine oatmeal (uncooked), flour, and brown sugar in a separate bowl. Cut in the butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over cranberry sauce. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. To make it extra good, I made extra topping by adding ½ extra of each topping ingredient. For example, I used 1 ½ cup of oatmeal, ¾ cup of flour, etc. Enjoy! |
Thank you :D:D:D

This sounds so good, I'm going to make it this year for Christmas eve. I do have a question, should I spray the glass dish before adding the cranberry?
Thanks, Nancy Thanks for sharing! |

I have a similar recipe...it also has coconut mixed with the oatmeal and a little lemon juice stirred into the cranberries. I just love it and it's a big hit for potluck picnics.

I use your recipe for several kinds of fruits. I call them xxxxxcrisp. Like Cranberry Crisp or Apple Crisp. I use it as a dessert.

Hi Nancy,
I apologize for just now being able to respond to your question. I don't have the internet at home and was away from the computer until today. Yes, I always spray the dish with a cooking spray. Hope it turned out perfect for you! Vanessa
