this is going to be a raffle prize for our local quilt show this fall (Sheboygan County Quilters) Sheboygan, WI..
anyhow, i just finished piecing the top and now need to decide how to quilt it...i will be doing it by machine (not longarm). any opinions would be appreciated, i can get designs for the piecing ok..i think but the quilting is always a challenge for me. the design is my own. the wonkey stars were paper pieced. thanks!! view one view two |
I have no idea on the quilting as I don't know how but I just wanted to say, that is one gorgeous quilt. It is so happy looking. You should make a lot of money with that one.

It's a gorgeous quilt! I have 3 grandchildren that would absolutely LOVE it!!!!
As for quilting, I'm thinking of one that I saw when I took my Christmas quilts in to the longarm quilter - I'm not sure how it would be quilting it on a home machine, but it was a cute design that I think would work great with your quilt. It was just a bunch of circles, maybe 2 - 3" in diameter, connected by straight lines. They kind of looked like balloons on sticks - one balloon per stick. I hope I'm describing it well enough. I'll google designs and see if I come up with one like it. |
Beautiful!
