It's time for me to start stash busting with baby and kids quilts for charity. What is your favorite charity to give to?

I prefer to find someone in my own community to donate quilts too. For children, try your hospitals ICU ward.

Battered women and children shelter, or ask a local church if you belong to one.

My youngest son was recently hospitalized for a week. He was given a very nice fleece blanket that came from Project Linus. The nurse who brought it to him commented that they very rarely have enough that are "boy" friendly or for larger kids (tweens and teens). I know that Project Linus items are appreciated.

I make my quilts for QuiltingLisa at the Central Ohio Binky Patrol. She gives you great personal feedback. You know where the quilt is going
and you get a receipt. I also have warm feelings for Project Linus. My friend's sister teaches in a school where there was gun violence, with student hostages and a suicide. Every one of 800 kids in that school received a comfort quilt. Pretty nice!

Yes, boy friendly or teen friendly is very useful. So it can be crazy/scrappy and will be loved.

Right at the moment I am making a Quilt Pink quilt for a lady with breast cancer rather than raffling off the quilt we are going to sign our names in the hearts and donate the money to breast cancer research and give the quilt to Debbie. I am using Eleanors Burns pattern Hearts and Gizzards.
