Does anyone have any experience with a stitch eraser? they are not cheap--so i want to be sure before in invest. Also, the Peggy's Stitch Eraser comes in various models (3, 6, 7?)--what do you know about each--do they work well for machine embroidery snafus?

Have not used the expensive ones but have used the plastic disposible razors - work from the wrong side and patiently, carefully run it over the stitches. Use twizers to remove cut stitches so can see your progress. Of course, if trying to do this while fabric is in the hoop, must not stretch fabric or stitches will not line up. I suggest practicing on a sample..

Yes, I have the Peggys Stitch Eraser and I do like it. I had made a big error on a jean jacket and was able to remove the messed up embroidery. I was so thankful as jean jackets are not cheap and I was almost done with a large peacock on the back of it. Only I know of the big mistake that I made. I don't know what model it is but I am sure they are all pretty much the same. I know the one I have is a rechargable one.

not aware of 'plastic disposable' stitch erasers--what are they?

Machine embroiders I know use a man's electric mustache trimmer.

The stitch eraser works better than the mustache trimmer. We've used both in our embroidery shop.
