I just finished this top, for a baby quilt for a co-worker. To be honest, I'm not wild about the blue in the center of my 9-patches, but there is a hint of that same blue in the green/purple print.
I'm trying to figure out what to do for the border. I have lots of the print and the blue and the white left, but not much of the lavender or green. I mocked up three different versions in EQ7 ... does anyone have an opinion? Or another suggestion? the quilt top closeup of one of the main squares border version 1 border version 2 border version 3 |
I was going to suggest something like #2, but I like #1 best.

i like 1 best but would do 2 (i am a little lazy)lol
|
1st choice: #1 2nd choice: #3 Hope this helps.

i like #2. I just installed my E7 and can't wait to play with it this weekend. was it hard to learn?
|
I like version #2. I think it ties the blue centers into the quilt. Very cute quilt!

#1 or #3. I think after you've applied the borders you'll be happier with the blue in the center of the 9patches. It's a cute quilt and will be downright adorable after you're done ;)

I like #3, but they are all very pretty.

My vote is #2. :D

I like the polka dots going around in #1 I think it adds to the center, but I think the 2nd border is blue is too narrow. What if you made it wider between the 2 prints it would then be a frame around the center?
